The shades are distributed better, and in the case of something like the Juniper Berry (truly almost-solid), the subtly different tones work a wonderful kind of alchemy and produce a really lively, energetic yarn. Interesting just to look at and to process; demanding a closer look, and then one closer still.
I agree and looking at the yarn I’m currently spinning now, 3 play would just be fabulous. It also is easier to spin as a finer yarn with lots of twist, but now I’m halfway through the fiber and have an intended project, it just doesn’t make sense to change the yarn right now. There will be more fiber to dye and more fiber to spin–it will be okay 🙂
